Colour Types in Families
There are families where the members belong to the same Colour Type (CT) or neighbouring CTs. Think of the Gerbers, the Timberlakes or the Kardashians (excluding Khloe, who is biologically most probably a half-sister and whose CT is most probably influenced by her biological father).

Similarly, there are families where the mum and dad are completely different CTs and their children are either close to their mum’s or dad’s CT. For example, the CT of the Fanning sisters is very close to (or the same as) their father’s and quite different from their mother’s CT. (Images of their parents can be found on Google.)

On top of that, there are families where every single member has a different CT: mum, dad and the children have quite distinct CTs from one another. Think of the sisters Kate Mara and Rooney Mara. Kate Mara is most probably a Warm/True Autumn. Rooney Mara is most probably a Cool/True Summer, however, she dresses and wears makeup suitable for a Cool/True Winter most of the time (still, I believe she is a Cool/True Summer). Kate’s CT is absolute warm while Rooney’s CT is absolute cool. Their CTs are world’s apart.

But it gets even more complicated. Let’s have a look at their parents’ CTs. The farther of the Mara sisters is called Timothy Christopher Mara. He is most probably a Warm/True Spring. The mother of the Mara sisters is Kathleen McNulty Rooney. She is harder to guesstimate but she is definitely on the cool(er) end of the hue dimension of colour and has a certain depth to her natural colouring as well as brightness. If pressured I would say that she is one of the Winter CTs. So we have Warm/True Spring and Winter parents having Warm/True Autumn and Cool/True Summer daughters. Wonderful! Exciting! Why not! Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter CTs, all part of the closest family unit!

P.S.: The CT journey continues. Rooney Mara is currently expecting her first child with the actor Joaquin Phoenix (Bright/Clear Winter). I wonder what their child’s CT would be. A Summer like mum or Winter like dad or perhaps a Spring like grandad? There are many possibilities and only time will tell. :-)
